Christmas Sunshine for the Women's Shelter

Sometimes sunshine just shines brighter in December. 💛

This Christmas, we got to bring a little extra warmth to the women's shelter. We selected more than 35 devotional books, each one carrying a message of hope and healing, because everyone deserves to be reminded that brighter days are coming.

And we could not just hand them over plain! Every book was wrapped in Christmas paper and tied up with decorative ribbon and glittery sprigs for a little pop of elegance. We tucked hand-written cards in with the gifts, too. We wanted each woman to feel like she was opening something made just for her, because it was.

We also left a brand new Keurig at the shelter, so the women can enjoy a warm cup whenever they need one. Sometimes comfort looks like a good book and a hot coffee.

The kids were not forgotten either. Teddy sent along 50 candy bags, one for each of them, with his picture smiling from every single bag.

To the women and kids at the shelter: you are loved, you are seen, and we are cheering for you. Merry Christmas from all of us at Operation Floating Sunshine. 💛
